7-12th Over
Pakistan plays its 2nd ODI against Zimbabwe in Bulawayo city.
Zimbabwe were 40-2 in 8 overs keeping a stable 5-run per over run rate.
Myers was good at 26 of 21 balls while Ervine was comfortably supporting the main batting strategy that is with Myers. Ervine is 8 of 19 balls, keeping it simple, steady.
Ervine seems quite settled in, chipping in a couple of run in every over, ticking the run rate with considerable ease.
Zimbabwe’s first 50 came in 59 balls. Making sure the runs keep coming in.
The pitch is favoring the spinners, registering quite a lot of spin by the 10th over. This could mean the pitch will respond even more harshly in the 2nd innings, that could spell danger. Pakistan lineup will be facing a perilous task if a heavyweight score is put up by the Zimbabweans today here in Bulawayo.
Irvine and Myers’ partnership now looks quite settled in their own ground. Taking quite a favor from local conditions while the fielding is spread out, signaling sparse presence around the pitch. With mostly the spinners engaged, having a lineup of fielders around, could put pressure on the batting lineup if it is to be shaken. That was the summary for now. We will be back again, with more match highliths.
